In this week's episode, we introduce a new series called the "Attentive Heart" with fr. John Gribowich. Fr. John sits down with long-time friends Samantha to talk about her journey of faith and service and finding beauty in unexpected places.
Fr. John Gribowich is a religious studies teacher at Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep in San Francisco, CA. Previously to becoming a diocesan priest in 2015 in Brooklyn, NY, he taught at Allentown Central Catholic High School in Allentown, PA from 2001 to 2012 and played a role in founding the “Central City Project,” which enabled students to engage in social justice initiatives in the city of Allentown.
Fr. John has been active in the Catholic Worker Movement for over ten years and is the co-owner of the Dorothy Day Catholic Worker Farm in Harveys Lake, PA. He earned his undergraduate degree in history and theology at DeSales University and studied theology at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA, and St. Joseph’s Seminary (Dunwoodie) in Yonkers, NY. Additionally, Fr. John has graduate degrees in art history and library science from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
